I know of DDM tuning from Bimmerforums.com. There was a guy who ran "Eurodyne" auto. His name was Jo. DDM bought Eurodyne and ever since then its been down hill. I got quite a few things from DDM and always got it rather quickly. Even my M5 bumper came within 2 weeks in a huge box that looked like a coffin. Did you order an HID kit? I know they said they where no longer going to produce them. If you did then that is why it is coming from China. Good luck. I am sure you will get it but it will take a while. Good luck!

about 6 months ago we ordered 2 set of HID kits for a retrofit, it turns out that the $35 special on the kits was so big that they actually ran out of them so the shipping was coming directly from China, but it did take 3+ weeks for us... they said it was b/c the Japan earthquake and the radiation level, that everything had to pass a spacial scanner once it arrived in the states, so thats where the delay took time....

Took about 2 1/2 weeks for from me, also from China. Happy with the product though.....

I saw ddm post up on facebook about issues before the earthquake. The hid kits were getting snagged in customs by the federal highway commission or something like that because they us is or was cracking down on illegal hid's that was back I. Maybe may or April last year I haven't seen anything new about it recently. All the xenon stuff I order has been from a seller on eBay. Ive had the same bulbs in my truck for about 3 years now and no issues at all. He also stocks his product here in the states and he ships USPS priority so about 2 days for me to get them on my steps. Ive gotten other kits from him for buddies cars at work maybe 6-7 cars and not a single issue with the kits at all. Slim digital ballast to

They're made in ebay but the company and everything else is American. Often times the demand is so high they get backordered then they have that delay in shipping. For 30 bucks they sell like hotcakes.

They'll probably come from Xhina. I'd prefer to wait over using Xentec crap.

If one goes bad, you'll still end up waiting if you think about it.

Ive been running a DDM kit in my headlights and fogs since 09. Same bulbs and ballasts since then. Quality is top notch. But they take forever to ship.

Has anyone dealt with them for a warranty issue lately? I am having a very difficult time getting in touch with anyone via their site and also on the phone. I bought 2 kits in July 2010 and one of the ballasts went out. Any suggestions?

Just fill out the form on their website. They will send you an email within a few days with instructions about mailing the bad ballast back to them.

You will send it to them, they will take about 2 weeks, and then send you a replacement. Total turnaround time will be around a month...

Fast, I know

I couldn't get them to offer my warranty. They wanted me to take like 50 pictures of every little piece of wire and connection and whatever else they could think of. The guy I was emailing acted like I was a dumba$$ and wired it wrong or something when it had been on my car for a year lol. I just said forget it.

When you get them, you will also notice that the ballasts are weightless...

DDM is way to go, NEVER EVER get Xentec, I ended up spending bunch of money thinking it was wiring problem or something else, got ballast replacements and they were also bad.

Ordered pair of ballasts, emailed them that they are defective, they sent me another paid and I still had the same problem, I thought I did something wrong, but when I received DDM ballasts, everything worked fine, so once again, STAY OUT OF XENTEC

As was alluded to up above, DDM ships from China due to DOT/NHTSA regulations related to adding HIDs to cars not originally equipped with HIDs (which is technically illegal).

Last I checked, bulbs/components were shipped from California (may have changed) but full retorfit kits come from overseas.

DDM used to just have slow domestic fulfillment because, well, they were slow. Now they at least have an excuse, with fulfillment coming from China.

Ive bought the 50w ebay ones from china, they look exactly the same as the 50w slim ddm ones. Only issue I had was the bulbs had a hardtime firing up. Put the oem hid bulbs in and everything works like a charm. Only reason to go to DDM is for warranty...keep your ballasts away from condensation and they should last for years. My ebay 35w fog hids have been on for the last 4yrs same bulbs and ballasts. I highly recommend getting Relays.
