Maxima Buyers Beware!!!!!!!!!!

I'm letting you guys know this cause you guys have helped me a lot in the past, now its time to return the favor. About 2 weeks ago i ordered a SMX grill from AVALON RACING . I ordered the grill, he said he would send it out the next dayin his e-mail. One week goes by and I neither see nor hear anything from him. I email him again..this time he says that the item was on backorder and that he was going to receive it any day. Three days goes by he says that he will ship it out that day. Two days later he tells me that my card was declined and to give him a different card...so i call up my bank and find out what happened..1- he put the wrong expiration date..well no biggie, but get this 2- HE CHARGED MY CARD $40 BUCKS MORE THAN MY FREAKIN RECEIPT SAID!!!! I WAS LIKE WTF???? So anyway i told him i wanted my order canceled and we shall see what happenes. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU GUYS SO U DONT GET SCREWED LIKE I DID!!! GOOD LUCK

First of all, talk to Avalon and get it straightened out before complaning here. If we all avoided retailers for something that could be a simple mixup, 99% of the retailers in the country would be out of business right now.

Expend your energies in contacting Avalon and getting your purchase sorted.

Alot of people have had very good relations with Avalon. Goofs happen. It doesnt mean you should avoid them like the plauge or badmouth them on here.

Hm...interesting. I have nothing but good things to say about Avalon Racing. Try to contact Paul at Avalon directly. I have ordered a few things from Avalon and never have a problem.

The facts about the customer's order

We ran the card with the data supplied by the custom on the electronic order.

The phone number supplied on the order is a disconnected number.

As soon as the part was ready to ship we contacted you by e-mail.

The difference in the price is the coast of shipping from NH to CA.

Please think before you post.

regards

i completely agree with talking with the person or company first to avoid making a mistake. but 40 bucks for shipping, and it wasnt on his receipt? im not trying to interrogate, just wondering what he's talking about, thanks.

The Shipping was $14.00

This was for a fair sized box going from New Hampshire to California.

Plus our online store specifically states that shipping is not included and added to the order.

Regards

The part the customer forgot to read is on the main screen that states "price does not include shipping"

Get your fact straight

The price on the online store was $135.00 + shipping. This has been the price on the nline store for quite a while.

Please get your facts straight.

hmm.. i just checked the site and it does say $119. Somehting might be wrong with the site or maybe the designer put the wrong price. Either way, when a receipt is sent, it should include everything and the shipping cost. Total = what is taken out from credit card .
Hope everything works out for both of you.

Actually it does say $135. Not on the main page though. You have to click on the online store. Then click on Maxima and you will find the $135 price for the SMX grill.

So then why the hell when you go to PRODUCTS/MAKE AND MODEL/MAXIMA, and on the bottom it lists the SMX GRILL IT SAYS "$119 plus shipping" This is so confusing and maybe it would be better if AVALON RACING DOES SOME CHANGES TO CLARIFY IT A LITTLE SO THIS STUPID MISTAKE WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!

Again you did not read the page - it states

It clearly states that prices are "subject to change without notice" and "prices do not include shipping".

All you have to do is read the material and be informed.

These notes have been up for over a year.

Regards

just wondering... i know you said that it's stated that the shipping isn't included, but why don't you include the shipping price before processing the total? if the shipping isn't yet calculated at that point, wouldn't it be a nice investment to have the additional service installed for shipping to be calculated and available to the customer before processing the order. Just a thought...

We chage actual price. We do not know the actual until we have the part ready to ship.

I really think Avalon Racing should update his website at least once a year, and stop arguing back & forth, like a little b*tch, because when people try to buy something from you, AV, you should make it all work out and I agree, a word TOTAL, that most people would think, includes shipping. Nobody reads fine print these days and you know it! Obviously he didn't complain just the heck of it...

this is funny....if you were on the phone with him, yaw should have discussed the price. Call me a b*tch or whatever but i DISCUSS EVERYTHING WHEN ON THE PHONE, from how much the item costs to verify, to shipping, to how long it will take to get to me, to warranty, everything. Cause miscommunication is the most f*cked up thing in the world. I hate to side against Avalon Racing but I would be mad as well if i was charged more than i expected...however, i would never let myself get in that position cause I ASK TOO MANY DAM QUESTIONS

As stated before - read the online store

It clearly states that prices do not include shipping. It's been that way since the beginning.

Regards

Re: As stated before - read the online store

let me fill you in, you're not doing anything possitive for your business going back and forth posting. although you may be technically correct, you should just say in the future you will include shipping in the total cost before sending the e-mails. you may have stuck to your guns and saved $15-20 on this case, but you lost more business by all the people reading this post. dude look at the big picture!

I agree, no matter what your web site says, if I get a receipt it should have the total (meaning everything).

Both you guys are probably at fault, this bickering back & forth doesn't make your business look very good.

i hate it when people do that, its not his bickering hurting his business, its you guys saying his bickering is hurting his business that is hurting his business....stop making it sound worst than it is....

if he gives good prices, people are still going to go to him, just verify prices before going through transaction...how hard is that?
