Are they liable?

My recently purchased (2months) 92SE has got 2 bad front axels. The previous owners had them fixed 3 days before I bought the car. Obviously they were not installed properly. I am going to try and get the repair shop to fix them however, in all of your experiences, are they required to make good on the fix?

I don't know if the parts or the fix are under any warranty by them however, I have the reciept.. its just in the previous owners name. I hope they will do the right thing and fix them.

What do you all think. Am I gonna get shafted?

You need to find out the terms of the sale. If you signed an "As-Is" form, you are probably shat outa luck in regards to the previous owner.

You could try to go to the shop that fixed the car. See what they say.
