coilover woes

well, my rear cattman coilover finally broke again last week. That was the 5th rear shock I've broken in 80K miles. That's the last time I will deal w/ that.

I went ahead and bought maxima agx's and groundcontrol sleeves. Got em on the car yesterday and it's all good now. The ride is practically identical. I can feel a tad bit of flex w/ the GC since they use oem rubber bushing in the set up. The cattman's were all metal, real tight, w/ no flex at all. But may be thats why they keep breaking. I think I will make some urethane bushings to take place of the oem rubber ones.

I checked out my front cattman coilovers to see if everything was in tack. Guess what, I found both my cattman camber plates cracked where the strut bolts up to the plate. Guess all the bottoming out from 80K miles of hard driving done em in! Now I gotta spend some more money w/ ground control.

Anyone use the GC camber plates? How much are they? any fittment or quality issues? I though about buying the cattman over-mount camber plates, but I heard there are tolerance issues w/ the 2nd gen mounts that cause noise.

Ya'll can check out the cracks for yourself at stone mountain. Doubt I'll get the plates that soon and have em mounted.

later ya'll.
