I want to make the tip of my greddy nice and shinny again. What do I do?

Will the same stuff work on the powertech muffler? It is starting to get a little of the yellow color to it.

Nevr-dull is great. I use it on my exhaust, the chrome trim, my wheels, my door sills, and tons of other non car stuff. its really some awesome stuff. I highly recommend it.

Yep! Works well on brass outdoor fixtures (lighting, door handles, locks, etc.), most metal objects inside the house, chrome or unpainted tool handles (as well as bicycle parts, etc.).

 

I take goof off to the entire canister (both of them ) to remove the tar and other crap that gets stuck to it over time. Then after it's smooth, I'll wash it seperately, I used to have the MOTHERS CHROME polish or some white paste for polishing aluminum and chromes and that helps brighten it up and keep it clean for a while. Recently because I'm so PO, used my Ibiz wax to substitute for the mothers and worked fine as well. No white residue or crusty wax. Don't think I'll do that again since I only clean them about 1 time a year.

 

Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish "Perfect for all metals". Works great without much effort. I've used this stuff for almost 4 years now. My Evo still looks brand new after a year.

 

I also use Mother's mag and aluminum polish on my HKS exhaust. Works great. I polish it every other time I wash the car(omce a week).

 

I have that stuff lying around. Do you guys do the whole muffler or just the tip?

I use Magic Polish...it's called the lazy man's polish. It's great for everything.

 

I lay under the car and do the whole muffler.

 

'Blue Magic' if you can find it is great for metal, also 'Weenol'. Weenol is awesome for mufflers and wheels because it resists the elements a bit more than traditional polishes. Something that is cream based is your best bet.

Worst case use some Brasso, it will strip anything off metal and make it nice and shinny.
