That depends on what you are looking for.

Meguiar's has to be THE most widely distributed detail brand out there. You can get their stuff anywhere from your local auto parts chain to autobody supply distributors.... Just look around or start phoning. You shouldn't have that much trouble trying to find what you're looking for. You can buy pretty much anything online as well.

Zaino. Haven't really tried anything else. But since I aquired the Max a few months ago, thats what it has seen all Zaino. Seems to last a long time, and it gives an amazing shine.

I get compliments from girls I work with!

Meguiars is great when you use all of their products together. Don't just use the wax or the results will only be good, not great.

If you think Gold Class is easy-on easy-off, you need to try more products.

The wax that is the easiest to apply and take off is Meguiar's NXT. I love the depth of the shine and the smooth feel of the paint after using it. I no longer have to use my power buffer since it comes right off with a microfiber towel. It easily cut my waxing time in half. The only issue I have with it is that it only lasts a few months.

When I got my '90 Maxima SE a few weeks ago, the paint was all dull and had scratches / overspray all over. After doing a good buff and polish I decided to try out that new TurtleWax Ice stuff you see advertised on TV. Normally I use Mequiars Gold, but this time with a new car I wanted to try something new. I tell ya, this Ice stuff works great! I applied it as directed on the bottle and waited 15 minutes to buff off the....umm....residue. I guess residue really isn't the right way to describe it as there is no faded film to see where it was applied. After the wait and the final buff the car turned out looking fantastic. Super slick (but not oily feeling) surface that reflects brightly. My Maxima is white, but I suspect that darker colored vehicles may turn out better with this wax. Any black trim turns out just as true and glossy as the paint. I have so far washed the car 5 times and it has rained a bit since I bought the car a few weeks ago and so far the TW Ice is holding up nicely. I'll give this TW Ice a month or so to see if it will hold up or not. The car is currently baking outside today in 100 degree humid Oregon sun. OY!

Yeah I am glad someone posted something in terms of ICE because I have heard so many different opinions on it. Right now I am going to try Meguiears' and see how that turns out. You guys are awsome

I used TW Ice a few weeks ago and was very unhappy with the results. Well not totally...The results were good and as was stated before it's very good because trim pieces and everything turn out good with the ICE. It does make all those pieces look new and is safe on all surfaces unlike paste wax. The problem I faced was that as soon as it rained I had massive water spots on the car. The ICE did not hold up for some reason and I had to rewash everytime it rained (even tho I do that sometimes haha). Point is that when I use Meguiars paste wax it turns out just as good and seems to hold up better than the ICE. I think I'm going to try again soon and see if letting the ICE sit longer and a maybe two/three coats will hold up better in the rain. So my vote goes to Meguiars for now.

I like Eagle NanoWax, myself. It seems to hide small scratches better than anything else I've tried. It also seems to work well with the black paint. I just put on a coat a few days ago after a clay bar and polish. I tell you, my car hasn't looked as good for 15 years!

I've been using the Eagle One Nanowax. It's alright but I don't think I'll see its true potential until I clay and polish. I just don't know if you can go mixing polishes and waxes from other companies. The clays also come with instant detailers to be used as lubricants, and I figure it'd be best if you match the brand and line of waxes. Has anyone tried the Mother's Reflections line?

There's no problem with mixing different brands of products. Feel free to mix it up.

Cool. I want to try that Mother's Clay Bar, but I don't know what polish or wax to use. Right now I'm using Eagle One nanowax, but I don't think it's that great.

Meguirs is a great product, don't get me wrong, but I fell in love with the Mother's and I use it on all of my vehicles (1994 Max GXE, 2003 Max SE 5-speed, 1999 Accord, 2001 Escalade) all without a problem.

As far as "Tire Shine" - I like the Original Tire Wet - it works well, and lasts. Just make sure you let it sit for at least an hour, if not overnight before a show or whatnot.

Caio for now,

George

Mothers products are awesome. I am also a zaino fan and have a bunch of it in my arsrenal, but recently tried some mothers sealer and glaze topped with some pure carnuba, and it looked way better than my zaino which was on the car last week. Mothers is probably he best OTC stuff you will find.

I have tried many brands and my fav is Klasse hands down. Auto Glass (sp?) and Meguiar's Tech wax is also very good products but I'm sold to Klasse.

I usualy put one coat of Klasse all in one, then one coat of Klasse sealant then another coat of meguiar tech wax for the extra shine

Put another one down for Klasse their products are amazing. I will speak out against TW Ice. That wax is just simply horrific. It doesnt last at all and doesnt even put a good coat on the wax. Personally if you are looking for an easy wax besides Klasse o the line of TW Ice then get Armorall Carnuba Wax Gell. It is a little more that 3 dollars so 6 less than ICE and the results are much better. But overall Klasse is by far the best.

Natty's Blue definitely my current favourite by far for wetness and depth. Decent durability. P21S is slightly easier to buff off. I've definitely got to try Souvervan, however.

For OTC stuff, I really like my Meg's #26 and Mother's Pure Carnauba paste wax. Surprisingly durable good for up to 2.5-3 months on my daily driver.

I have to disagree. While a month or so I was on the same page and hated the fact that I spent money on the TW Ice, now I do like it. As most people know its more about the process before the wax that matters most. I did a wash, clay, and since I was running out of polish I tried Meguiars cleaner wax after the clay, then used the Ice. I didnt think it would matter putting the Ice on last, but it came out very good. There's a great shine and feels fantastic. I think it's better then any combo I've used before. Maybe its all in my head but I'm sticking with the Ice until it runs out then I'm going to try the Tech Wax.

i have had great success with the combo of meguiars gold class wax, quik detailer, and quik wax. you guys are right about using all of their products together. if you don't use them all together, you will get a mediocre shine as opposed to what is possible with the combo of all of their products

I like the Meguiars #26 yellow wax and also the NXT Tech wax because its so easy to remove if you put it on in a thin coat.

I'm partial to Meguiar's... but that's because I've been certified by them twice, in both automotive and marine... plus I get all my stuff at cost.

Polishing the paint preps the surface to allow for optimal bonding of the wax/sealant. There are lots of benefits to polishing the paint, so if you have the ability to polish it first (correctly), do so.

if you're gonna polish your car, you ALWAYS polish before waxing.

you move from the most abrasive application to the least.

Tried Poorboys Natty's Blue for the first time and it blows anything I've tried before out of the water.

Reckon I'll have to give Collinite a try next to do a little compare and contrast, but for now Natty's Blue is where it's at for me.
