How do I remove residue from ...

I went to the track one night and they wrote the numbers on the side of the car using that white shoe-polish-type stuff. On my way home, it rained, which caused the numbers to run down the glass. When I got home, I cleaned off the glass using a razor blade and glass cleaner.

My problem is that the residue ran onto the rubber seal at the bottom of the window. I have tried to remove it, but it just won't come out. I'd post a picture, but my camera won't be back in my hands until at least Friday.

Does anyone have any suggestions of products or procedures that will help me remove this stuff?

I used some stuff called "Invisible Glass" which is made by "Stoner". E55AMG2 had some on him and I tried it. It worked great.

Try not to use lacquer thinner. Sure it's strong, but that's the problem too.

Try a bug/tar remover first.

If it's on the windshield itself (not on any painted/rubber parts), wet it down with a small amount of water and use a flat razor blade to scrape it off.
