Both great links.

You don't have to buy everything and follow everything to the letter, but the bare basics that are critical to keeping your finish looking good are:

1) Washing technique and habits

2) SAFE and appropriate tools and materials. Basically anything that ever touches the paint, like mitts, towels, etc.

3) Keep it waxed and clean.
