Scratch Removal Help

I have this hairline scratch on my hood. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago while drying my car. I don't know if my chamios caused it or something else did.

I used my McGuire's scratch removal chemical but it didn't get rid of it all. It did make it a lot less obvious but still there. With my finger nail I can't feel a groove, but I don't want to rub any harder with the McGuire's rubbing compound scratch remover. On one of my cars I rubbed a scratch so hard that it took the finish right off of the paint and I had a dull black spot on my car.

What do you guys do?

PS - touch-up paint won't work, this thing is so small that only I can see it, I can't even take a picture of it. Touchup paint would be more noticable then this.

If this is Meguiar's scratch remover (Scratch-X), just try it again. It's a reasonably mild product. Just don't try to over-compensate and rub extra hard or anything. Try rubbing across the scratch and be sure to work it in thoroughly with medium pressure.

If you're unsure though, the safest thing to do is to just try and reduce/hide it a bit and leave it.

pfactor, I've used gs27 as well, it's basically the same thing as the Meguire's product.
