detailed the outside of my car today for the first time (56k warning)

Today i finally got to detail my car. i had never done it before so it did take me some time but it was a learning experience. the results were very rewarding. i was a little disappointed that alot of the swirls didnt come out and also i used the scratch x on some small scratches and it really didnt make a noticable difference. but i must say the car is sooo smooth now, i just hope it stays that way. i clay bared, then polished with #9, then waxed with the tech wax. it took me a little less than 7 hours from start to finish, it could have been much less im sure but i took my time being it was my first at this and i wanted to make sure i didnt mess anything up.

here are some pictures.

lol, i know it is like a mirror. i just hate tha fact that it shows everything thing, from an imperfection to a spec of dust, but when cleaned up it looks so great.

A lot of pics that get posted online aren't really that impressive because they can hide a lot. Even your first pic is like, "eh...I can't even really tell"

However...the straight on pic is really really sick...look how even the gradient of the reflection is. It looks like water. I don't even want to see that crap about your trunk lid...it's TOO RIDICULOUS. I seriously doubt that mine will ever look that good again unless it gets repainted, and I've already spent enough on THAT for the next 10 years. Reflection pic looks nice too. Really good job!
