hi tech yellow doesnt bead water very well...

ive been using meguiars hi tech yellow wax... i heard the shine is awesome with it, but it seems to me that the water beading is pretty poor. i have some cheap megs cleaner/wax thats even better. whats the deal?

without beading, the car gets dirty real quick... damnit! what to do?! could i layer something? i dont want to use the cleaner... i want to pick up some deep crystal polish. noooo.

Ive had the best results with Carnuba Paste waxes, Right now ive been using Mothers California Gold cleaner carnuba paste wax. It lasts for a month or so, but in that month, it beads water like crazy, if its raining and im on the highways, the water just flys off the hood. Its almost distracting when im driving. Next ill be moving onto S100 paste wax, ive heard alot of people getting great results with it. I dont know why, but ive had much better results with paste waxes, liquid waxes just never seem to do the trick.

As long as the protection / shine is good, who cares about the beads. It will lower the chance of water spots.
