I think if you just make sure to keep conditioning it on a regular basis, you should not get any cracking. Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think that there is any way to fix it other than to replace it.

If you are interested in replacing it, I keep seeing brand new leather seats for sale on Ebay for the I30. I usually see tan and black. Not a bad price for the leather either. I think it's about $179. You will have to install or have someone install it after you get it.

hope this helps.

You know what else, check out the detailing section on the Org. You will probably get a good solid answer there.

I still think what I said earlier is what you will find out.

Good luck.

Hard but not cracked? www.leatherique.com No, there really isn't another product like this to the best of my knowledge (and trust me, I've looked).

Get the 32oz pair. Just be patient and do it over the course of a few weeks, not one day after another.

Bman has it right, this stuff is AMAZING. However you have to do it right. Also, it takes a while to do (2-4 hours).

Bman: I checked out that website and the stuf sounds amaizing! Thanks for sharing the product!

Do you have any pictures of what it did for you? Maybe before and after pictures or even just one or the other? I would love to see what this stuff can do.

My leather is not bad, but some parts are harder than others and I would not mind it all being supple and soft again. If this stuff really does what it says, then I am in! Maybe they will give us a group deal if we get 10 or more people in on it????

No, no pics, but pictures wouldn't say very much anyway... also I have to get off my duff and finish doing some portions of the seats that are still hard, but I've been busy and ill lately.

The harder the leather, the more applications it's going to take. I'm using a soft paintbrush to apply the stuff because you use so much of it.

So, you put this stuff on the seats and let it sit and obsorbe in? So as it obsorbs in the leather gets softer and softer until you reach the desired softness? Is that the just of it?

Clean the seats up a bit if they're really dirty, apply the oil, let it sit in the sun for a day or so, then clean off with the cleaner which removes excess oil. I suggest letting it sit for a few days before starting this over again if you need more treatments.

There should be instructions for using Leatherique on their website.
