I have my old Black painted hood to practice on now!! :)

Well, the quick story is, my car got hit by a hail storm pretty bad, went into the shop, they replaced my hood and I asked for my old hood. My car is black (the worst color to take care of lol).

Anyway, the reason why I wanted my old hood is so i can practice techniques and try out different products on the hood. Pretty sweet huh?

If anyone needs me to try something on it, let me know. I'll be happy to help.

Awesome! I have wanted to find a nice (crunched) black single-stage trunk lid or something for the exact same reasons, but never got around to it.....

I am sure you have thought of this already, but check around at junk yards. I mean any Black trunbk lid will do right? As long as it's that DAMN BLACK color! he he.

Yeah I thought of that, but junkyards would still want $$$ even if it's crunched. I'll have to hit up some bodyshops someday.

Do you happen to have a U wrench it near you? It is a junk yard where ou pay $1 to get in and you can bring any tools you want. You go in and take whatever parts off the junk cars you can and want to and then you bring them to the front. They look at it and give you a price. They were soooo inexpensive and it's a freakin blast to rummage through all the cars and use the tools and whatnot! My wife and I went to one in VA beach and got a perfect 1960 something VW Beetle back seat and they charged us $16!!! Freeking crazy! This thing was perfect. (By the way, my wife is very artsy fartsy and we got the seat because she is creating a bench seat piece of furniture out of it for the game room.) That's so cool.

Well, Check out U wrench it and if you can find one of those, HIT THEM UP! The are sweet!!!

Oh yeah, we have plenty of those around here... I just have little faith in them being cheap. I guess I won't know until I try though...

That place is better than DisneyLand!!!! I love them! Besides, you are getting it to practice on, so who cares if it's cheap right!

Let me know what you find.

This is especially good if you are trying to practice using a rotary.

Oh yeah, definately! you sure don't want to burn the paint on your own car trying out a rotary. That would be a bad day!!!
