Removing bird crap?

ok...so the birds here have red poop lately and its all over the back of my car. usually the stuff just washes off, but this stuff is crazy. I washed my car twice and scrubbed hard with a microfiber rag i had, but there are still traces of it. and now i notice more in another area. i had some bug and tar remover that i tried, but it did nothing. whats a good product to remove bird crap?

If a clay bar won't take it out, then hit it with automotive goo gone.

I was helping my friend detail his car this weekend. There were some brown spots on the finish that clay wouldn't even get out. The Goo Gone got it right out, with some elbow grease of course.

Bird poop is tough stuff. The longer you leave it on, the harder it is to get it off. On my black max, it gets into/under the finish. I've had to use a medium abrasive polish to remove it. Then follow with a finer polish, then wax. Da*m birds.....

I'll have to try the Goo Gone next time.

Stuff like Goo Gone should remove bird droppings if it is the actual bird dropping that isn't coming off, but if the paint has been chemically damaged it probably won't help and a mild abrasive is your only alternative. Try to clean it with chemicals first though, since that doesn't remove paint. Don't forget to re-wax the area. Good luck.
