I used that wax it goes on real easy and is easy to take off also. Leaves a nice smooth shine can say one coat of it last for about 2 months maybe 3.

it's my favorite off-the-shelf wax. It's really easy to apply and buff off. The best part for me is it's mild cleaning-power. If I have some left over waterspots, it will clean it up for me. However, you can't layer it.

I've used NuFinish, Turtle Wax, Original Meguiars, Zaino, Griots Garage Best of Show Wax, and all the Blackfire Products.

NXT comes off the easiest even if the applicator is slightly wet (water).

Here is one coat of NXT. The reflection even on my white car is very nice.

Right. I had no idea about its cleaning power until I started seeing some dirt streaks in the terry polishing cloth. Even though the car was freshly washed but not clayed (didn't need it, new paint job), it still managed to lift some "embedded" dirt out of the paint. I have never been able to get such a high shine this fast with any other product. I usually apply these products with my Porter Cable orbital, but yesterday I did it by hand just to see how "filmy" the wax is. It came soooo easily. Very impressed with it. This is a great product.

I will see how long it lasts. Since it is a synthethic polymer, it should last a few months under garage care (not parked outside).

You can't layer it, but you can "top" it with carnauba wax if you wanted to, to give the shine some "warmth".

I've had very mixed results with NXT. I've used it on my Max and it was crap. Very easy to use and provided a pretty nice shine, but there wasn't too much depth or slickness to it. What really bothered me was the durability.

I tried NXT after Blackfire and before EX-P and the durability of NXT was poor. A couple weeks at best.

I've tried NXT on a lexus es300 and a acura MDX and it's durability was better on those, but still not as good as other synthetics I've used.

Overall I'd say it's a great off the shelf sealant, easy to use and has a pretty good look to it. Not as good as some other synthetic products look or durability-wise, but great for the price.

i have been using the nxt generation tech wax since it hit the shelfs, and i must say i love that stuff. makes my car look great! (view first picture of my car on my cardomain site, its a picture from after i detailed my car and put a fresh coat of tech wax.) my only complaint with this wax is that it dont seem like it lasts as long as some other waxes but other than that i really like it. i just dont know if i want to put a different wax on for winter.

People keep mentioning that you can't layer NXT, but does that mean you can't use it after a polish? I've been using Meguiars deep crystal polish and Nxt tech wax and noticed that the reflections aren't as "sharp" as some cars I see posted. Here's my process:

1. Wash with Meguiars soap with lambs wool mit then drying a section at a time with shammy.
2. Apply meguiars deep crystal polish by hand, starting with hood all the way around to passenger side fender THEN begin to remove dried polish with orbital buffer, replacing terry cloth pads often.
3. Apply Nxt tech was in same fashion as polish.

When I get done the (majestic blue) paint looks good under the sun and extremely shiny but when looking close reflections look slightly blurred, not distinct and sharp. Is there something about this process that might cause this? It's sort of frustrating spending several hours detailing your car with so-so results. Not that it's a bad product but I've tried different combinations to applying the product and seem to get the same results.

I called Meguiars about this when the product first hit the shelves, they stated that the wax does not have any cleaners in it, so it will not strip your previous wax and you can layer it. I wax my car every other weekend and I apply about 2-4 coats everytime on my sterling mist, I can just put 1 coat of NXT on her Royal blue suv and it looks better than mine.

The Meguiars rep has publicy stated that NXT has mild cleaners in it on Autopia.org. You can not really layer it, but 2 coats is recommended in case you missed any spots with the first coat. NXT is as good as it gets for over-the-counter stuff.

Some people have reported a durability issue, but that probably depends on what their expectations were in the first place.

u really only need to wax your car like twice a year, u keep on waxing like that, u r going to strip your paint, soon u will have a nice dull to it.......

It all depends on the environment you're in and where you park. Parking outside, most carnauba based waxes last no longer than 30-45 days. The best polymers I've tried, are about 3 months of protection. I wax four times a year and clay twice or more, depending on how "dirty" the paint is.

I've waxed a lot of cars many times over and never saw any dulling of paint. If you get that, its probably being caused by something else (application procedure etc.)

Uhhhhhhhh....................no. I could see if someone was using a polish (with abrasives) on a constant basis where your statement would be applicable. One thing you are not taking into consideration is that normal waxes will last no more than a month to a month and a half at best.

Polymers like Klasse, Zaino, and Blackfire will last from 3 to 6 months or more dependent on how many "layers" are applied (3 coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze will last 6 months).

In addition, you are not going to strip paint. Nissan paint is a 2 stage system (basecoat/clearcoat).

Back on topic....

I used NXT for the first time yesterday. I did the entire exterior: body, glass, lights and wheels. I put it on by hand with the supplied foam pad and took it off with an MF towel. I was very impressed with the ease of application and removal.

I'll wait till this afternoon to comment on the shine. I finished in the garage after dark and it has been cloudy all morning so I haven't really been able to see it.
