Question about protectants/sealants

Starting in March, I want to offer my clients a new paint protection service for which I will charge a little more. I know a lot of you guys are big on sealants and protectants like Klasse, Four-Star UPP, Zaino, etc. and I've only used a polymer sealant called 200MPH which was pretty good, but my vendor doesn't always have it.

I'm looking for suggestions as to a complete paint protection system (meaning all recommended products/steps after the polishing point, as I currently wash, clay, bug and tar, polish and put on two coats of wax) that would be most worth it to my customers and myself. Also, is this something I can do and then wax immediately after to increase protection, beading, and shine, or will I have to wait a week and potentially ask the client to come back or completely eliminate the waxing step altogether for this service? I still plan on using my normal exterior routine for regular details, I'm just trying to add something a bit more comprehensive for customers who want the added protection. And a sidenote, does anyone have the link to order Leatherique? I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance!

Is this what you're looking for ?

I use Zaino Z2 and follow up with Pinnacle. Seems to last forever. I havn't applied anything on my car since early September. After all of the snow and salt its still as slick looking as it was then.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but a sealant goes on before the wax, and it works best if you let it cure for at least one day before topping it with a wax. If you want to put the wax on right away you can, but the more cure time you allow the sealant the better. So save the interior and wheels until after you remove the sealant, which will allow a little time for the sealant to cure, and then apply the wax when you finish the interior + wheels.

I knew the sealant is pre-wax, but since I didn't wax over the 200MPH sealant I used to use, I wasn't sure if curing time varied for different products or what. I was thinking about requiring these customers to give me their car for a period of 28 hours or so to allow for a little extra curing.

I know that you use Klasse AIO and Four Star UPP. Any comments on either of those?

I love both of them. AIO goes on easily, and usually removes easily too. It cleans the paint very well, will remove oxidation, and leaves a smooth, glossy finish.
UPP is definitely my favorite sealant. It has a strong chemical smell which I dislike, but the results it leaves are incredible. It's extremely slick and leaves a great gloss on any color...even pearl white.

IIRC, the curing times vary for each product. If you have Zaino w/ZFX, the cure time is as short as 30 minutes. In the case of Klasse, The bottle says 30 minutes, but I have always followed the 24 hr rule.

Considering that you are doing this as a business, you need a sealant glaze that will give you the shortest possible curing time so that you can return the car to the customer or apply the wax to it immediately.

My thoughts right now are requiring the car for 24 hours so that I can cure these as best as possible. I was thinking of doing everything I normally do, polishing it (DeWalt 849), applying one coat of Klasse SG and allowing it to cure for an hour and a half, applying 2 coats of FourStar UPP with 2 hours curing time between them, and garaging the car overnight and topping with a coat of Meguiar's in the morning.

I know Paul polishes his car and then uses Klasse AIO, three coats of UPP and Pinnacle Paste Glaz as a topper, but is what I listed above far too much for customer cars? (read as: will I get just as reflective and long term protective results if I eliminate steps and return the car to the customer in one day?)

Thanks.

You can polish it, AIO, then apply SG by hand (so its extra thin) and let it cure for ~40 min. Remove the excess, then top it with s-100 and the job should be uber reflective and last for quite some time. This also does not take very long to do.
