Tips on cleaning headliner?

I was wondering if anyone has any input or tips from previous experience of cleaning the headliner. I need something delicate but good enough to clean it since the headliner is a softer material.. Thanks

3m general purpose adhesive remover, can find at most auto places...i know carquest for sure.i install sunroofs and we use this to clean them if we get a spot on the new headliner, it doesnt stain and it even takes out spray adhesive and silicone.

i use a damp rag if you use extractors or anythig the tend to fall alot sooner just use a damp rag or maybe a rag with some all purpose sprayed on it.

I would recommend using spraying a shampoo onto a rag and then gently scrub the headliner.

I use Woolite and warm water to clean headliners. Applied by a clean WalMart MF towel, and blotted dry with another clean dry MF towel. It works very well. Just make sure you don't apply too much liquid to the headliner. You don't want to loosen the adhesive.
