turtlewax leather cleaner

Will this stuff make my leather softer and remove all the creases on it?
It doesnt look like my leather seats have been cleaned or conditioned EVER in their 7 year history.
What can i do to protect it, and make it feel like new or better?

I doubt a Turtlewax leather cleaner/conditioner is any good. My recommendation would be to go get a can of Scrubby Bubbles (DOW, its a foaming spray can with a green cap that is used to clean bathrooms) and a green scrubby pad. Cover the seat with foaming product and very gently rub the leather with the scrubby to get any stains out and to clean it, and then wipe off with a towel. Follow up with a good conditioner - I've used Meguiar's (which is decent for the price and for being off the shelf), another one by my supplier, and Lexol (very good, but more expensive). I'd probably recommend the Lexol. Others with swear by Zaino, or Leatherique (www.leatheriqueorder.com I *think*).

The reason I suggest the whole Scrubby Bubbles thing is because I've never had good luck with leather cleaners (even Lexol Leather Cleaner) on really dirty seats, and as a detailer its better for me to just use Scrubby Bubbles. If you don't have light colored leather, a cleaner or cleaner/conditioner might work.

I have heard nothing but good things about leatherique. I have an 02 SE that the seats were never conditioned in either. I bought the leatherique 32oz kit and am just waiting for the weather to warm up to apply it. My buddy used it on his BMW and his leather was almost like cardboard before. It came out soft and felt new after he was done, but he used two coats.

It's time consuming but I can't wait to do it to my Max. The kit cost me $75 with shipping from Autogeek.net and has everything you need.

Ok, thank you!

I'm going to order the Leatherique 32oz kit, but im not sure how long 32oz will last me, does anybody know? Also, is the cleaner color dependant? I have black leather btw.

This stuff better make my leather feel like infinity m45 leather, because 75 bucks is a lot for me.

i just did the leatherique 2 days ago, not quite the results i was hoping for yet it was a vast improvement, in its defense i put it on sunday afternoon, and took off monday evening and it was only warm outside on monday, the nights were cold (~40) so that may be a reason, also my seats were quite hard, im going to wait until it gets warmer and hit it again, i know the warmth will relax the leather and open the pores to let this stuff work better. btw about 4oz. per seat as reccomended was about right and you really gotta massage it in there good, i put mine in a spray bottle for easier application.

You definatley shouldnt use a degreser on leather, watered down or not. It will dry out the oils even if you do condition it afterwards. The turtlewax cleaner isnt that bad, its just very mild because its a cleaner and conditioner in one. Everything with leather is going to take alot of elbow grease to get clean. Ive been using my soccer cleat leather cleaner and conditoner which is called Boot Brew and its about 15 for the set, which is cheaper than a lexol kit. You are gonna get pretty much the same with every quality leather cleaner.
