Washing the Max...

Ok, this may sound like the stupid question of the day.....

But how often are you suppose to wash your car?? I have a Majestic Blue so I really like keeping my car looking new.

I am gonna get it waxed today but in general, would I be damaging the paint if I wash it too regularly? (ie. once every 1-2 weeks?)

I wash mine as the weather permits, usually once a week and wax it the same time. I polish it about once a month. I have the majestic blue too and the dirt and dust shows really bad.

Damn bro...your ride must be spotless.

Anyhow I wash my Max once every two weeks, and a little while after every snowfall when the ground is less covered with salt, and snow. Washing my car is not allowed where i park, so i take the Max to a touchless car wash.

The only wax that has been applied is that spray and wash off stuff from the car wash every two weeks or so. For now until i can find a place where i can park and do that.

Washing will invariably induce a certain amount of fine scratches. You also don't want too much buildup especially of salt in the northern states. You should be fine washing every week.

Lowkey, what polish do you use? If it's an abrasive rather than chemical I wouldn't use it that often...you're asking for clearcoat failure.

Your car is only a year old, you shouldnt need to polish it every month. You shouldnt polish any car every month. 2 times a year will do
