Power/Pressure washers.

I need one of these for a whole lot of different reasons around my place, but have had nothing but crappy experiences with the electric ones, (like the Karcher and Simoniz). Everyone I talk to as well, swears they will never buy another. They simply dont last very long before pumps blow. So I'm thinking about a gas powered version as a last ditch attempt. Are they any better/more reliable ones, or am i simply wasting MORE money? I've noticed some models such as the Simonize with a Briggs and Stratton, is relatively cheap this spring. What should i look for, what should I stay away from? I figure something with a Honda engine would likely be better than B&S, or is it more about the pump itself.....? all suggestions and advice considered.
Thanx

Check out www.topoftheline.com. They have some serious pro-grade pressure washers. Also, Sears has some B&S powered ones as well.
