Aslong as the wheels are clearcoated, any normal automotive wax will do.

Normal wax WILL NOT do. It will just melt, wheels get very hot. Are you talking about Poorboys Wheelwax? I bought a tin and just put it on my ASA wheels and so far its been great. Washed, AIO, then 2 layers of the wheelwax and they looked amazing. It spreads very nice and not alot is needed. Brake dust is insanely easy to remove now, I could do it with some quick detailer and a rag if I wanted to.

If you are gonna put anything on your wheels, it needs to be a sealant without carnuba. Even though its called wheelwax, it is a sealant. Carnuba will last a day or two with the wheel temps.

Im not so sure about that. Wheels dont get as hot as you think. Only when you're having brake problems will they heat up that much. I can't see it getting much hotter than the center of the hood above the engine.

Someone correct me if im wrong, I just dont think the wheels can get that hot unless you ride the brakes like a grandma.

Carnuba has a very low melting point and will melt away on the wheels. When brake dust comes off the pad its very hot. Its hard to believe that the wax is still on your wheels after 4 weeks when it would barely last that long on your paint.

Head over to autopia and read up, theres a ton of topics on it

Back to the first post, is this the new michelin wheelwax? Ive heard a lot of people have had good results with it.
