Maxima paint sucks

I got hit with an egg......I thought It would wash off, no prob after that...nooooo the spot where the egg hit left chips as if a rock hit the car. WTF? In addition to that my bumper looks like I live in the sahara dessert and drive 145MPH to work everyday in a sandstorm. Anyone else things the durability of these finishes suck?

I've got a fair number of rock chips on my 2002... the thing is the primer never gets damaged... just the black and the clear coat... oh well... at least it won't rust...

I'd like to hear from others on this as well...

I thought maybe it was just the black.. but if your gray doesn't hold up.. there goes that theory...

I got hit with an egg like 2 years ago on my Drivers side door...it was in the street, so after I woke up, I washed it off..it left all little paint chips where the egg was...really is bad...I dont know how long the Egg was on there thouhg....coulda been all night..Other than that I love my paint

That will really happen with any paint though...Nissan, Toyota, anything.

Hmm, ok, I suppose its not all Nissan..I just expected it to take the hit. I cant believe an Egg can cause such damage.

Bought a Colgan "Sport" bra to protect the hood and cover the mark...because I can't get the mark fixed completely. Too bad I dont know what this bra is gonna look like, but Ill post pix when its on incase any 6th gen owners are considering a colgan bra. Hopefully it wont look too noticeable, being a black car. I could not find any pix of a black 6th gen with JUST a hood bra...or any bra for that matter. If any 6th genners have a pic of a colgan bra Id like to see.

I do lots of highway driving, Its a good move anyway.
