Bug removal help.....
Hey Guys I know there is an expert out there on bug removal. I have bought some various kinds of remover from the stores and no solid luck in removing all of these summertime bugs. Does anyone have a particular brand or even a recipe to remove these dang bugs. My blue front end is starting to look pretty rough.
BTW I used to use this stuff my dad got in the military they used on jets and it was great. However that was 10 years ago and this is the first car I have had since then that it is noticable plus he retired!

Are you following the directions? Most bug and tar removers require some dwell time? I find it hard to believe that the wouldn't work as bugs are pretty easy...it's the tar that can be a PITA. What have you used so far? If all else fails then clay it. It's also possible that you aren't looking at bug guts, but rather etching caused by bugs. I see this alot on cars up from florida...they have some nasty corrosive little creatures called love bugs from what I understand.

We have glow bugs in Alabama as well. They are a bug that was basically developed in a lab that broke free in society and they have throughout parts of the south. How great is that! Idiots. I am using the remover just as it indicates but I think I am having some love bug problems which can be removed if done fairly quick, but it takes a strong remover.

I should try some bug remover too. They're really bad up here too...I get blood splattered on the front of my car from the really big ones. I know there are special sponges you can buy that are textured with a kind of netting that should help scrub them off without harming your paint. As for tar, I find the claybar works best.
