Target sells a cloth in their auto aisle called the Bug and Tar something. It removed all the bird crap on my paint w/o scratches! And it is only $4

damn bird **** is even worse if you miss it for one day in the sun. it seems to eat the clear coat.

i'm thinking a clay bar may be the only solution. i gotta get one to see for myself.

But one thing you have to check is to see if there is any etching in the clearcoat since the bird manure has been sitting there for a long time. If there is any etching, you are going to have to polish it in order to lessen the apearance.

The clay bar is a good way to get it off. Be careful with any product that you use not to rub too hard it well quickly damage the paint. Make sure you polish and wax afterwards. Instant detail works good also. Keep some in the car at all times. Bird poop needs to removed as quikly as possble. If your car sits in the sun and they poop on it that is an ugly site especialy if it sits on it for a long time. Good luck

I used a clay bar for the first time over the weekend and it worked really well with bugs and minor poop. Just use the spray lube and keep kneeding the bar as you work.
