debadged rears

i saw this on an altima and it looked pretty good. has anybodydone this on their max's? if so, how does it look and what does it entail? i'm thinking about doing it but i don't want to if it will make it look like a crap box or end up w/ me scratching my car.

i like the de-badged look. some people de-badge the whole rear and some like me just left the nissan emblem. it was easy, just use fishing line and it comes off pretty easy.

Yup ,leave the nissan logo I think it looks too naked without any emblems...
As Jeff said, fishing line works great, you may want to warm it up a bit with a hairdryer, but seeing you're in FL. you should be fine!!

Mine's naked too, but I am considering putting the Nissan Logo back on. The dealer I bought it from had got it, but I bought it before he could put it on. I like the look without it, but there are two dimples in the spoiler where it should be. If they weren't there, I would leave it totally bare.

heheheh

after all those pics of that nise ****!! :-) i realized we dont have key holes in our trunks.....

Thats bery berry peculiar. Cause if you lock out the rear seats and the button breaks your stuck with your trunk locked. Unless u have a dead body in there, well then maybe its a good idea.
Thanks,

Kam

Yeah, plus you can always fold the rear seats down, climb in to the trunk, and pull the anti-kidnap lever

I love my rear. Just in case some of you don't know, there are red led's in the holes. When I brake they light up.

Seeing all you guys in NY with bumper guards. When I lived in NY, I drove a Discovery w/ full bull bars and side steps.

RuMax, strip her down.

Not to behave different from everybody, but I like how my MAX looks with the badges. With just the Nissan emblem it looks ok, and fully naked is just plain ugly (at least that's how I see it) You are not letting anything to the imagination, walking around with a bare ****....

I think I'm going to put the hamburger back on. I really don't like the holes and I'm not paying to have them filled and painted over.

Uhh.. probably not warren! Im happy with the way mine looks. With my "bare-*** ***" and all. Ive had my max since March of 03 and back then I loved the fact that nobody knew anything about it. Therefore I removed everything that could have given what it was away. It was fun to blow peoples minds on a dialy basis. Nowadays theres probably 2 or 3 at every stoplight it seems like and it dosent really matter anymore....

This may be the first mod I do to my max once I finally get it. Darn car is still in route somewhere? Hopeing this Friday to be riding around in luxury.

Something else I read in another post about the SL having HIDs. If no SL logo than someone may just pass by the car without knowing of the HIDs?

As you know some ppl here think they are driving bumper cars when they park.
I had my rear repainted twice.

Peace

You can also use tooth-floss to debadge if you don't have fishing line laying around.

Do the badges just "pop" off or do you have to work at them a little. I know they are only held on by adhesive but are you working the fishing line back and forth? Or just to get underneath an edge to "pop" them.

You'll need to "saw" them at little with the line.

Clean the adhesive off, Wash, Clay, Polish, Wax, Enjoy
