Carnuba ? PrinzII........

I was watching a program on tv and they were comparing thier wax to most traditional carnuba waxes. They stated that most carnuba waxes only contain a small amount of carnuba, between 1.5% and at most 2%. Thier wax has 46% or a similarly large percentage close to that number. Does anyone know what wax I am talking about? I negleted to DVR the program. They also said that it was the carnuba that actually did the protecting. They said the higher the concentration the more protection you will have.

Thoughts?

A quality caranuba wax will contain more than 2%. I don't know exactly, but 20 to 40% is about average. Pure caranuba is as hard a a rock. Ingredients are added to make it soft enough to apply and remove.

In addition, any carnuba wax is not going to provide the same level of protection as an acrylic or polymer sealant. The longest I know any carnuba wax to last is around a month to a month and a half. Even a pure carnuba wax would not last that long, even under the most ideal of conditions.

I am going to continue to use the Mothers waz until it's gone and then move on. I was thinking about BlackFire products. I have used them but don't know about the longevity of the product.

What would you recommend as far as acrylic or polymer based sealents?

I've heard that Blackfire are good products, but sometimes a bit hard to remove.

I use the Klasse twins and love the result. Any synthetic ought to last up to 6 months, which is great when living in a northern climate.

I have seen that product in the store before. I have yet to decide on a particular one though.
I can't even imagine not being able to wash the vehicles for a month b/c everything is frozen. I get mad when it rains a few days straight.
