Post Tree sap.
Treep Sap has been sitting on my sibling car for about 3 months. . . dont ask why. Finally after a good detail its gone. The areas seem as if its lost some of its clear coat. What can I do to restore some of the shine, and protect the car as well.
Is there a meg's product that would suit such a situation? Or am I looking at having to color sand and apply some clear coat to that region? (peble beige is the color).
THanks.

I would think a good polish and then wax would revive the shine pretty well. Meguiars makes a few polishes with respect to how abrasive you need it to be. I'm a big fan of the Nxt tech wax but haven't seen a Nxt polish yet....
Btw, what did you use to remove the tree sap and how well did it work?

I'm thinking just a good polish as well. I would go for the least abrasive process first - don't jump right into sanding first, obviously. Maybe some Meg's DACP or something equivalent.
clay bar!!! then wax... and polish it will be brand new, this happen to my brother a few years back, i did the clay bar and it worked like a charm, got it all off and gave back the feeling and shine it once had..
thanks for the info.
I can honnestly say I dont know how to clay bar, but I'm sure there would be instructions on the box, or a thread somewhere around here on how to do it.
thank again.

How would I get tree sap off my Windshield. I have tried sap remover but it has not worked very well. It causes little sap spots on my front windshield and I would really like to get it removed. Any suggestions?
