The plastic covering on my gauge cluster is filled with very light scratches...will plastix work on this or will it be too abrasive???

It might, I would recommend 3M Plastic Polish.

You can use Meguiar's PlastX, 3M Plastic Polish, or even Mother's Aluminum Polish.

Plastx should be fine just make sure you use a good microfiber towel and light pressure because that plastic scratches very easily
