Leather Restoration

Anyone know a good write up on leather restoration? I have found a bunch of leather cleaning forums but nothing on actually restoring it. I have some deep stains in my leather and i've used almost everything to get them out and nothing has worked. I found this write up for my old car but I don't know if it would work on the Max or not.

Scroll down to ARCHIVAL LEATHER RESTORATION. It is a very involved and time consuming job but I think it would be well worth it at the end.

We have coated leather, the only way to restore it is to replace it

You can really clean the seats like its vinyl, just dont use too harsh a cleaner or brush

I have in the past used maguiar's leather cleaner/ conditioner and a nylon brush. I put a bunch of the conditioner on the seat and then very softly with hardly no pressure rub the brush around on the seat but do it in sections. then rub it off with a soft towel. if the conditioner stays on to long or is spotted on seats I have gotten spots on the leather, so make sure you rub it off. that has worked for me in the past on other cars. I have not done it to my max though. good luck
