Hairline Cracks
Hairline Cracks
I regret to say I backed into my sister's car in the driveway tonight. Long story short, car accidentally got bumped into neutral (I was pulling forward into the grass to get out of the way of her car before I backed out). Either way, I coasted into her car doing like 1 MPH, and there was a collision. Nothing is wrong with her car (Saturn Ion...plastic bumpers FTW) but my car has very small hairline cracks on the inside of the license plate area, like on the sidewalls that go inward. They are barely visible, but there nonetheless. The bumper itself is fine (the urethane) but the paint is what is "cracked."
Is there any way I can fix this? I was thinking of going at it with some rubbing compound and polish to see if that will help at all.

Good job. I was thinking that polishing would reduce their appearance. Maybe try polishing again...it might take out a few more. And most glazes will fill them in a bit making them less noticable.
