Is It Ok To Use The "Windex" To Clean.....

The dash board and entire interior?
I bought a dash board protecter but that just shines it up doesnt clean that nicely...so is it safe to wipe it with windex first and then use the interior protecter?

Yes... just make sure to use the protector afterwards or your shiz is going to dry out and crack from the sun.

I wouldn't advise using Windex for cleaning the dash. Try a mild solution of a multi purpose cleaner and water. Then protect it with Lexsol Vinylex or 303. Both are silicone free and provide UV protection.

Is it okay to just flat out use the Armor-all? Or will it just spread dirt?

I don't like the dash covers but it will protect your dash. I use the polish about once a week or maybe every two weeks.

Over all the best thing to use is dish washing detergent in a spray bottle. This will remove all old polish and residue. Afterwards just apply your coat of protectant. I use the same stuff I use on my tires. I keep it wiped down regularly with a lint free rag and re-apply every other week. I completely re-do when ever it gets to lookin like azz.

Armor-all is good just make sure and clean the surface first. It's the same with anything. If you don't take the time it will eventually look like crap

I use a watered down degreaser (orange blast or what ever it is) then follow up with 303 protector. Turns out nice every time.

Agreed, never use it on your interior components. Window cleaners all contain butylcellusolve, really nasty stuff (I am a chemist). It will go to work on destroying plastics combined with ammonia and high pH, not good.

I like using an aerosol product called TuffStuff, good for cleaning, then follow it up with a protectant.

I get mine at my local West Marine. Boaters love it because of the high UV protection. It's also available on-line. Try Danase.com

No...it really isn't a good idea to use anything with that much Ammonia...i just use a damp cloth to wipe it all down, then use ArmorAll

I dislike dash protectors, the one i use to have reflected on the front windscreen and made it harder to see, so i took it out. All i really use is a windshield screen when i park the car on a sunny area on a hot day, otherwise the dash is fine with minimal fading and no cracking.

What?? Windex on your dash? I agree with all the above comments. In my opinion, Windex should be used on glass. Even then, I use Stoner's on the windows of my car. For the dash, I wipe it down and then use Meguiars NXT Tech Protect.

I bought a container of those Armor-All multi-purpose interior wipes last time I was at Vato Zone. They didn't carry any type of spray-cleaner for interior plastics- just carpets and upholstery. There's your chance to make a million dollars everyone- go market something like 303 to the chain stores.

Anyway, I thought I'd hate them, but they did a good job and you can keep the container in the trunk.
