Fake leather!

I just started detailing a little bit to earn some extra cash on the side, but one question has risen up that I need answering...

What do you use to clean/protect fake leather/vinyl? Can you use a regular leather cleaner/conditioner to clean/protect it?

Yes, you can use leather cleaner/protector. I'm assuming you're talking about the sides and backs of the seats. Those are fake leather. Only the seating surfaces are real leather. Except if you have a Rolls, Ferarri, Maybach etc....

Thanks. Actually in my aunts Benz the seats are all vinyl so I was wondering what I should use on it. I tried a little area of it with the cleaner/conditioner and it turned out great! Sweet!

If it's all vinyl, you could use Vinylex. It has both cleaning and protecting properties. But the leather stuff would be ok, too.

Should be perfectly fine. Are you insured incase you mess someone's car up? That little extra cash on the side can go to none if you ever mess up. It's good you are seeing if you will screw up before doing it.

Family/friends I would be damned if I had to worry about insurance at this moment lol! Like I said, I'm just doing it right now for a few extra hundred to help me get by and pay for a trip in Nov.
