I've been "detailing" my car for a while now, but have been using over the counter products due to its ease of purchase and availability. But recently I've seen many cars whose finish is simply awesome and have been looking into higher end products. However, I have a silver car, so it is quite hard to get the paint to shine and "pop" like a well done black/blue/red car for example.

So does anyone have any product recommendations for a silver car to bring out the most in the paint? I use the following now:

Mother's Clay bar + Quick Detailer
Meguiar's Step 2 Polish
Meguiar's NXT paste

The preceding makes my car clean and shiny, and I am sure better products *could* produce better results. Maybe Klasse All-in-one and Sealant Glaze would help?

 

If is has any holograms, try the Zaino PC. A sealnt glaze/ cleaner really helps. Used some Toyo the other day, just to try it out. Made a world 'o difference. Im a pearl white BTW.

 

No holograms, scratches, or any paint imperfections as I polished most of it out with ScratchX and the Step 2. I just want something to try like a god glaze and sealant to make the paint "pop" more.

 

A buffer can do miracles. Meguiars Mirror Glaze line is simply awsome and I like their results the best. Personal preference though.

 

i know what you mean, when you see black or any dark colored car and you see how deep and shiny the paint looks, then i look at my car or any light colored car and it doesnt look as deep or shiny, i realize its mostly due to the color. The products we use at work ive used on my car, we apply them with a Makita 9227 high speed buffer.

silver almost never shows dirt

 

lol silver does, when its filthy, you know when your silver car is dirty..when you can actually see the dirt. compared to black cars, i gave up trying to keep my black max clean, i wash it one day, seriously no lie within 2 hours it was dirty again. kinda sucks its like fighting a loosing battle.
