Aluminum rim oxidation

What do you use to remove oxidation and build up on aluminum rims? Will the normal rim polish and a mothers power ball work? thx

If the oxidation is on bare aluminum wheels, without clearcoat, then Mother's polish will work.

+1 for the Mother's. If the wheels are clearcoated don't use Mothers. You can use a rim cleaner that's safe for clearcoat but that's about it.

Stock wheels have clear coat on it. Mother's will not work unless it's bare metal.

What can be done if the clearcoat is affected? Buff it with a wax like the paint?

I've said it in other posts. I picked up Mother's Billet polish; it's about 30 bucks; but it WILL restore your finish. Here are some shots of my wheels. Grant it, they are farely new but:

I used this:

But I also see they have this for Mag and aluminum:

AllBlack,

What brand of rims are those? I just picked up some Racing Hart that are very similar. I don't know if they are like yours or clear coat.

If you can't use a mothers polish for stock alloys, what is the best method for removing oxidation marks?
