are you sure they are on the outside? It could have been that your windows weren't all the way up.

Try 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. That should remove them no problem

I second the vinegar tip. Miraculous on glass, paint, chrome, and it dries streak free if you use newspaper!

try some plain old glass cleaner, first. if that doesn't work, 50/50 vinegar/water should do it. if it's not your windshield, a clay-bar might help, too

So, pick up some steel wool and go to town? Or is there anything specific you have to do? Like circular motions or back and forth?

i've had the same problem. DO NOT GET STEEL WOOL!!!!

Go to homedepot, pick up some "Spot X". It will come right off! It's about 3 bucks at homedepot. I tried numerous solutions but only Spot X works. Best 3 dollar investment in my book. Took off year old acid rain residue like nothing.

I had water spots from parking too close to sprinklers, washer fluid + wipers didnt work. So I just washed it by hand, all gone.

Yup, likewise. Stoners Invisible Glass hasn't failed to remove anything for me. Not to mention, my windows truly do look invisible at more than one angle. I love that stuff.
