Scratches on Windshield/Windows

So somehow, there are minor scratches on the window and windshield, I believe it was created by razor blades, not sure how, but are there methods of buffing it out and getting rid of it? This really irks me, thanks alot.

I've had the same problem. Here's the conventional wisdom:

1) You can't get anything out if it's deep enough to catch you fingernail on it.
2) Lesser scratches and small crazing can be removed.
3) But, you run the risk of hazing/clouding your window.

I've just decided to live with mine, rather than take the risk.
Best of luck.

Glass is hard to fix. Last winter during a snowstorm my wiper blade cracked at the tip of the wiper and I didnt realize it until the next day. Now there's a scratched outline of the wipers path across my windshield.

I tried just about everything you can buy in an autoparts store/Walmart and nothing worked.

Too bad you're not in Florida. It could probably be considered a crack, or at least under the same law. Anything on the windshield that wont come off can sometimes be considered a hazard, and its state law that your insurance has to cover it. No cost to you.

ScratchX is only for paint, plastic, metal etc...I DOUBT it would work on glass, however I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. Its not abrasive so it wouldn't mar your glass I dot think.

i work at a glass factory for over 5 years now and there is no way to completely take out scratches in glass without doing other damage...at our job if we have a scratch that catches on the fingernail its trash...if not we use a glass buffer with a special rubber pad that can "grind" down the scratch and take it away but it leaves a little "dip" in the glass

I've used this with my PC with good results. Not sure if it will remove your scratches, but ought to at least minimize them.
