Keeping your wax on through winter...

When using the high powered car wash sprayers at your typical car wash it will literally rip off your wax.

What do you guys do to wash your car with out the high powered washses?

personally I turn off our exterior hose for freezing purposes..so I dont have any means of washing the car except at the local car wash with the wax removing sprayers....

I put on 3 layers of a synthetic product. Klasse SG is on for this winter. It is much more durable than the natural carnauba waxes. It seems to last through a winter of touchless washes. Or if it's warm enough (40 or more) I will hand wash with ONR.

It isn't the water pressure but the strong soaps they use.

If you have a garage, use Optimum No Rinse Wash, only takes a couple gallons to wash your car and no rinsing is needed. Wash and dry as you go along. See the "how to wash and wax your car in an hour" thread I posted for more information.

Better to use a WW microfiber towel for drying it.
