Polish,Seal,Wax questions
I plan to polish, seal, and possibly wax. I'll be using NU-Finish polish, FMJ sealant, and Turtle wax.
How much time should I wait after polishing to apply sealant? Should I apply 2 coats of sealant, or 1 coat sealant and 1 coat wax? How long should I wait before applying the second coat of sealant or wax?
Sorry for all the q's, I looked around and got different answers.

Turtle wax?!.....NU-FINISH!??!!
First of all...get the good stuff man. If you want good results but want it to be affordable go with mothers all the way. Dont be lazy-dont use liquid waxes either.
You dont need to spend a fortune to make it shine. Use a nice cleaner wax or compound(if its real bad) then a good quality polish-3m has some nice options for cheap. then follow up with pure carnuaba wax..in the shade of course.
Timewise, you wont need any downtime/wait between these applications but be sure all the sealant/polish is off before waxing or itll be in there for a good while.
Do it by hand and take your time-its always worth it
and talk to scottwax-hes the man and probably got more experience than my 9 years

Taint nothing wrong with using liquid waxes. I reckon it all depends on what kind of liquid wax we're talking about but I've gotten smashing results with Clearkote's Carnuaba Moose wax (which is a liquid). I use both paste and liquid but if it's a good wax, it's a good wax regardless of what form it's in. Gotta say too that it goes on like butter with my PC so if I don't feel like rubbing down my whole car with a paste (and wearing my *** out in the process) doing a liquid quickie with the PC is jackpot money.

well, with fresh paint you'll wanna give it a few weeks to setup-waxing/polishing fresh paint can cause swirlys-give it some time

Wolfgang Deep Gloss paint sealant, followed up the next day by Pinnacle Souveran paste wax. They both go on super easy, and come off even easier. On my wife's dark blue Altima, it looked like glass. On my silver Max, it shines like no other. Be sure to clay bar first.

I still use Zaino on my car, and still like it. I use Duragloss #105(similar to ZAIO) on the wifey's truck, and am very impressed with it. Seems to be boutique results for an OTC price. Don't think they have an equivalent to ZCS.

I bought a sample kit from Autogeek that had four in it. When I do a full polish and stuff, I'll post pics.

On my other car I have about five layers of it, and there still a lot left. Never seen it look so wet.

I'm actually about to do the same thing this weekend but in addition to the OP I also plan on using a clay bar. Can I do clay bar, then polish, then wax? Or do I need to use a paint cleaner in there also like this one http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...?T1=MEG+A3016?
Also can I use Meguiars or Mothers polish then finish it up with NXT paste wax? I only ask because I have a brand new unopened can of NXT. Will NXT strip the polish? It's my wife's SUV which is a light color, so I need a polish for light colored cars.

You can use the NXT paste wax. Polish removes defects, so it cant be removed. The wax protects the polish..
