I know it's not a Maxima, but it's close!
My wife has an 07 Altima...Majestik Blue...I thought I'd throw a few pics up. I spent the day detailing the exterior. These are the steps I used:
1-wash the car
2-dry the car
3-clay bar the car (was able to skip this step as I clayed it last month)
4-Buff car using Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover w/orange pad and Flex polisher
5-Polish car using Wolfgang Finishing Glaze w/white pad and Flex polisher
6-Apply Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant (car must "cure" for 12 hours after applying sealant...you cannot let the car get wet while the sealant is curing)
7-Follow up the following day with a quick wash/dry and a coat of Pinnacle Souveran past wax.
I purchase all of my supplies from Autogeek.net

Took me the better part of a day to complet steps 1-6...I haven't gotten the wax on it yet. It's a lot of work, but this color looks stunning when it's finished!

I just got my Max back from the stealership last night, they had to re-paint the front right corner of the bumper cover. I pulled all of the pinstriping off, and I de-badged it today. I also cleaned the carpets (front driver's side), and scrubbed the floor mats. I've got to give it a good wash and polish, but I'm going to wait a few days due to the new paint. I'll get some pics up when I finally "get-r-done".
Most of one day to wash, dry, and buff the car with Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover, followed by Wolfgang Finishing Glaze. Finally, A coat of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.
I didn't take any full car shots, I wasn't actually planning on taking pics. I went out to move the car and noticed the clouds reflecting off of the roof, and went in and grabbed the camera. The next time I wash it, I'll take some full car and sun pics.
OK, I got some full car shots. I figure it doesn't look to shabby considering I did only a quick wash/dry yesterday afternoon. My wife then drove the car yesterday evening, and all day today, so it has 1 1/2 days worth of "road grime" on it.
It's starting to cool down in the evenings, hence the condensation on the roof:
