Best rim cleaner?!

Going to clean my rims on my 96 I30 really well so i can plati dip them black. Any ideas on whats a really good product to remove all of that brake dust and road grime??

I took each wheel off one at a time and wiped it down with a wet rag. Then I rubbed it down with bug and tar remover and rinsed it. Let it dry (speed the process up with a hair dryer). after that anything that would be problematic should be gone.
A lot of people dont take the rims off to do it but trust me its worth it. Easier to clean and get full plastidip coverage. I applied six coats on a friends 2010 tl back in September. I live in Chicago and the amount of salt and other garbage on the roads is relentless yet its held up 200% better than anyone else who's plastidipped the quick and easy way around here. Not a single tear. If you have any other questions just ask

Chemical guys Diablo rim gel cleaner would be the safest to clean any time of wheel finish. But if you really want a tough cleaning agent Turtle Wax bug and tar remover would do.
