What gear for dyno pull?

Going to dyno the Max on Saturday, wanted to see what gear would be best. Is 4th (5 speed car) gear a 1:1 ratio?

Thanks,

Doug D

Yes, 4th gear is the closest to the ideal 1:1 ratio, HOWEVER that really doesn't matter unless you are interested in comparing your dyno to non-Maxima dynos for apples vs. apples comparisons.

Otherwise, 3rd gear is VERY consistant and doesn't require stressing your car up to 120+mph on the dyno.

Just make sure you compare your dyno to other Maxima dynos from the same gear, ie 3rd vs 3rd or 4th vs. 4th.
