02 auto Dyno result...

02 Auto Maxima

Mods: Greddy catback, custom maxima TP, homemade intake, and NX wet kit.

Took me two passes to finally figure out how to dyno the car with the A/T. It kept wanting to down shift. But on the third pass I got a decent full run. The numbers are not corrected and the temp was 100 degrees with a **** load of humity.

Numbers:

234.3 HP 283.6 ft-lbs

I was especting more HP but the torque is on pair with what I was hoping for. Going to try it when it's cooler out and see what it puts down. And I'll scan the chart and get it up in a day or so.

That works out to be about 290+ crank hp. You were hoping for better with just the mods you have???

Those are great numbers and expect several more on a nice cool less humid day.

Well I was thinking it would pull closer to 250 WHP, looking at what some M/T's have done. But well see when it's cooler out.

I also found out corrected it was 251.63 HP 304.59 ft-lbs.

Dyno Sheet. Like I stated before it to two passes to good one decent pass.

Dyno video, it's in the middle.

Yeah I'm still considering getting nitrous after seeing your dyno vid. I wish I could have got there earlier to see your car being dyno'ed.

It was a 75 shot. Actually those were the first 3 shots with the 75 shot. And I have yet to use it on the street or track yet. I'm going back to the dyno when it's not 100 degrees and a crappy load of humdity. Maybe I'll put down numbers like I was hoping.

How much power did the srt-4 make?
I was thinking of doing a 75 dry shot would that be a good idea? I have a 6 speed 2003 max. How much power would it make? How much power all motor?

Hmm I've been thinking about changing my host, and now this makes me want to even more. The SRT4 put down 219 HP 254 ft-lbs corrected. Wel from your mods and seeing what M/T's with your mods have put down. I'd say N/A you'd put down anywhere from 215-225 HP. Nitrous is a different story. Most dry kits, that I know of, rate there shot horsepower at the flywheel or TC. Nx wet kits are rated at the wheels. So I really couldn't give you a good estimate of the power you'd put out. I myself don't trust dry kits, not saying they are bad. I just feel more confident in having a wet kit. But done right a dry kit can be safe to use as well. In facted I think most people on this board use dry kits, so I'm kind of an odd man out.

with NOS you make your own atmosphere so the high humidity and temp shouldn't really make a difference. The NOS just throws in a whole bunch of O2 and also provides a great cooling effect. But then again, I dont run NOS so I can't completely verify this Awsome numbers BTW - makes me want nitrous even more!! You hit up the track with your magic juice yet?

Your partly rigth about nitrous making it's own atmosphere. Temp does effect it, just like any other car, but not as much. That's why I'm not looking for huge gains on a cooler day. I have yet got a chance to go to the track with the setup. It was raining here the weekend I was free too. But hopefully in the near future I'll slap on my slicks from my Eclipse and see what the Maxima can pull.
