Quick question about timing advance

I've read it "feels" better in the midrange, but does anyone have any dyno proof?

Is this another situation where it is only good to use at the track and maybe with a mixture of race fuel? Because I've read that a lot of people with 4th gen TS or JWT during the summer use the stock ECU and the modified one only at the track.

Back to back dyno runs for stock and a TS ecu with a special request timing map.

The stock ecu was from a GXE so the speed limiter kicked in around 5.7K (~110 mph)
Note there is also a contribution from the TS modifed AFR maps but I do not have any dyno data for a standard TS ecu to separate out just the effects of the increased timing advance.

FWIW i had the standard TS ecu in my car for a couple of weeks and I didn't feel that much of an increase in midrange pull. When I installed the TS ecu with the modified timing, the increase in pull from 3.3K+ was very noticeable.

WOT timing maps for various ecus are shown below.
