Need Help Track Numbers

I have a question that I need help on. I was at the track on Tuesday night 4/5/05 in NJ it was 55 degrees great night I have a 1998 Max GXE 5 spd 18" rims Cat back exhaust, Injen intake, short throw, stage 2 Exedy clutch.It was the first time I ran it i was suprised what I saw I ran the car twice Once was a 15.9 next 16 flat my 1/8 mile was 69 miles per hour both runs but 1/4 was only 86 what is my problem It feels real fast to 70. I need some help on what you all think is the problem or what I need to have done it only has 70,000 miles on it.

1st thing 1st, check your codes for the ghost knock sensor code, if there are any others, fix them, lose the intake, and buy a y-pipe.

from your data, your high end is pretty bad. you need to install mevi+jwt7200 ecu. or else, go force induction.

another thought, your 18 inch rims could have been a factor, too. go for a lighter and small set of rims.

that is his biggest problem. put some 16 in rims and you will see a big improvement. i did a run with 18 in and a run with 16 in drag radials and the difference was a 1/2 sec or better easy.
