new numbers for my 5.5
well here it is...dyno sheet from today(8/22/07) i was a little disappointed, but at the same time i was satisfied. disappointed by the "lack" of increase stillen said that was "dyno proven(19hp)" only gaind 8hp and also the significant drop in torque (orig was 217wtq). but on the positive side i am very pleased with the consistent curve!!!

yes ive got the run files, and i will get them up later! and yes they were done in 2nd...talking it over with the guy at the shop, he has more consistent pulls in 2nd when car is auto(as mine is)!

Consistency, yes, better resolution, no.
My advice: Next time try a run or 2 in third to see what you're really putting down. My last dyno fiasco, I learned quite a bit, but still need to verify one more item.
1.) 2nd gives lower, yet smoother curve, all around. (My dyno comparisons in 2nd: 235/225, vs 242/238 for 3rd, and add EVERYTHING under the curve, meaning 2nd gives much less area under the curve) EXCEPT for past 6500. 3rd is consistent as well. Over 2 runs my car varies within <1whp/1wh-tq.
2.) My theory: 3rd is a long gear for us 4AT's. So, is it possible that the car runs out of breath(heatsoak etc) when driven that hard (7000 redline, car = )? Data to back theory: All my 2nd vs 3rd runs show MUCH less area under the curve re: 2nd gear, except past 6500, where the curves seem to meet/stabilize, or, the 3rd gear curve begins dropping lower.
3.) So, my next dyno adventure will include one run in 3rd from 5500-7000.
Also, what gear did you dyno in last time (217tq)? Do you have any more N/A plans?
2nd vs 3rd gear runs, same day/conditions.

im not sure what gear it was in the first time, but after thinking about it, i think it was 3rd(but not positive)!
as for plans.....not really....i jus picked up my hoosier quick time pros today, and put a brand new K&N air filter in(came with one in the car, but very dirty, and messed up)...my pockets arent very deep when it comes to finances, plus ive already spent more on the car in a year than my loan is/was for ops:

I was trying to tell you in your other thread about the stillen headers. Their was a huge fiasco here on the org with them when they first came out. Guys were not gaining much if anything with them. Everyone has made good HP gains with Hotshot or Cattman. If you can afford to, ditch the Stillen for Cattman or Hotshot. Also the best investment you can make is $20 to the org to have the ability to search. So much info is available.
