Hit the dyno today to see how the car has changed since last year. run 9 was done with UDP, cattman gen 3 headers, cattman catback, test pipe, custom short ram intake, tuned with greddy blue, no timing added except for the base timing advance of 2* last year.

Run 12 is today's numbers .

Mod's added since last year, running the 2006 Maxima 6 speed manual, added some timing with the greddy blue at 70% and up throttle, NWP spacers, cattman fast cat, fidanza flywheel, and stage 1 clutch.

That's a healthy torque curve you got there.

I'm starting to wonder what would happen if that VIAS valve was gone. I know it wouldnt be 250 anymore, but it would be a nice plateau instead. LOL

GUT THAT MANIFOLD PLEASE .

Did you happen to make any runs without the said "timing advance"?

Reason I ask is that the gains you have, in the area that you gained, is exactly what one would expect from the spacers alone. So Im skeptical as to if you gained anything out of the "timing advance" from the EB. I would assume safely that even if you have the stock IM with functional VI, you added timing across the board, therefore I would expect to see gains made at the 3.5VI's crappy post-6000 range... but there are no gains there.

I was discussing that with the owner of the dyno and he thinks the car may be pulling timing at the top end as well. Or, if it is not pulling timing it's possible it is maxed out. But I was under the assumption that the spacers gained horsepower when the engine was hot.

Also, and i know this sounds stupid. But if I decided to play with the timing at the dyno he probably would have charged me the tuner rate. which is much more expensive than the regular rate.

I have the spare upper in my bedroom closet. I'll be gutting it out this weekend when I am at work.

Are you going to mess around with a larger throttle body or MAF?

80mm BBMAF with velocity stack. zeitronix wideband is on the way. Then I will try to install everything. Hopefully dandymax will have some time to give me a hand with the new tune.

DRF's Please........

Also, very nice, once a week I find myself analyzing your previous run, now I've got a new one

Also you'd be well advised to port-match your upper/lower/spacers/elbow combination after wrapping the studs and the bolts in tape to center it.

PM sent about spare upper

the new upper and elbow have already been matched up. just haven't had the time to do the upper to the lower.

I need an email addy to send the run files to

For those who are interested in how the new 6sp from the 06 max compares to the 03 max here are the runs in mph to take a look at. Run 9 obviously is the 03 6MT and run 12 is the 06 6MT.
