Error code 1336 Crank/Cam Sensor Range/Performance.. what does it mean?

I went to AutoZone and they said that I have a 1336 Error Code on the computer. The description of the error code is "Crank/Cam Sensor Range/Performance". The guy has no idea what that means, other then it's a sensor. What do I need to replace? Is this something that I can do by myself? Or should I go to the dealership? Please help...
