1 simple simple question !

Hey guys, my oil change is coming up soon and i was wondering if i should change my fuel filter too. how long do fuel filters last/how often should u change them?? my next oil change is going to be at 26k. u think i should change the fuel filter too or not? and if so, is the nissan ones worth paying the extra dollar?

also my car has been feedin on 89 octane for the first 24k miles and 91 octane for the last 2k miles. <--- just taught it was usefull info

i searched and it wasnt helpfull, also i have asked a few mechanics and they all said a different thing. some said 50k, some said 30k and there was this dude who said every 10k.

thanks!

edit: i also put in a 20 gallon treatment of chevron fuel system cleaner on my last full tank ( its all used now)

Yes.

Yes, UNLESS you have anti-lock brakes. Then the fittment gets hairy since so much brake line crap is around the filter area.

Nissan OEM seem to be the best quality fuel filters.

Call David Burnette at South Point Nissan. 888-254-6060

Cost is $10-$14, and the part number has changed in the last year, so my info isn't accurate. He'll know you want the "jumbo" filter if you ask for the one from the twin turbo.
