I'm wondering what kind of brake fluid to use as well.

As for bleeding:
1)Open the brake fluid reservoir. Pump the brakes a few times, attach a length of hose to the bleeder screw, put hose in jar, and then unscrew bleeder screw on caliper 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.
2)Have someone in the car push the brake pedal almost to the floor.
3)Retighten the screw before brake pedal reaches floor.
4)Get ready to add brake fluid.
5)Have the person in the car release the brake.

If you get the speed bleeders you won't need the second person or half these instructions.

Whatever method you use, don't use the 1-man-pump thing. It works by hooking a tube from the device to the bleeder, pumping to create a vacuum, then opening the valve letting vaccum pull fluid out. It's not a good idea cuz if your seals are cracking/drying, you'll pull air into the system.

2002 Maxima SE's method is my choice... just remember to pump the brakes to create pressure, then hold down while releaseing the valve. Sometimes the pedal wont' come back up after bleeding... just pull it up, pump, and you're ready to go again.
