Ok the "Liquidy" problem is a simple matter of oil getting thinner as it heats, simple physics, second the oil will change color as the car runs due to deposits in the engine.

This is normal for the most part, if you're seeing a lot of silver in the oil you may want to find someplace that does oil analysis and have it checked.

send it out to Blackstone labs for analysis, they mail you the free testing vial but cost money to have them check the oil.

if you goto an amsoil dealer they will do it for free and give you the results (if the guy likes you and thinks you're gonna buy some amsoil.)

Hmmm... are there metallic flakes in the oil when you drain it? I'd recommend taking a hack saw to your oil filter and opening it up to look for flakes. And yes... unfortunatly flakes are bad.

And how long have you had the car? If its new to you, maybe someone dumped some sort of leak stop crap in it.

But that would have disappeared when he did the oil change.

Not if it had regular motor oil in it and he put synthetic in it. Synthetic has a lot of detergent agents in it and would have washed the leak stop out of wherever it was hiding.
